my daughter was exposed (intentionally)to chicken pox on the wednesday. by the friday she had vomitted, had a slight temperature , a snotty nose and developed spots with little white heads all over her face. this is still carrying on more thana week later. The GP was a little irrritated to see her and gave her a full check and said it was a virus. she's now quite happy in herself, singing and chatting but the nursery i can tell are not too keen to have her there. has anyone else heard of a virus that gives spots on the face? it definately not CP as they don't become scabs but i'm hoping she'll get it soon (the 3 weeks incubation is up next wednesday)!!!

cici - it could be i suppose. they keep appearing and then fading after a few days. maybe she's run down while the chicken pox is brewing - or maybe thats just wishful thinking! thanks for the info tho'

I've been told that there's no point deliberatly exposing a child under 2yo to chicken pox as they won't become immune from having it. Anyone else heard this?

Also, my babies always get spots that came and went over a couple of days without any other symptoms. Seems harmless. But sometimes a vrus can cause spots to appear after everything seems to have passed. GP says that they're harmless too.
