Separated stomach muscles

During my last preganancy (coming up to 5 years ago now) I had separated stomach muscles and had to undergo physio. I have recently started an excerise regime as dd2 has started school full time, and have notice a dent in my stomach, which looks suspiciously like they have started to separate again!! Should I go and see the doc, is it bad or just something I will have to learn to live with?

Read about Tupler Technique- many exercises like crunches & oblique crunches will make it worse. This technique which is v easy concentrates on transverse muscles and exercising with a splint (Basically cloth ties round middle) for support. I'm finding it helps.

Tupler is great. I had a 5 finger seperation between my muscles, now down to 1 !

no sparky thats fine - ds2 was 14 months when I started. I figured that was long enough for my tummy to have gone down and sadly it didnt ! I got the book but my friend got the dvd and said that was a lot easier to follow.
