Hi

I am hoping somebody might be able to give me some advice. I have been to my gp this morning and she seems to think I have gastroentrities, and has suggested that I eat very plain, and dry food over the next couple of days, and said I can take immodium for my upset tummy and gaviscon to help my food go down better.

Has anyone else had this, if so what were your syptoms, what did you eat, what did you take to make it better, and how long did it last?

Sorry for so many questions but don't really know anything about it and was expecting gp to say it was ibs or something like that

Thanks.

Thankyou belgianbun, I have had it since saturday, but even this morning after a couple of mouthfuls of toast it upset my stomach. GP did say those types of food so will stick to them for the next couple of days, but haven't really eaten much apart from toast since sunday.

Sorry to hear your dd has it, poor thing, hope she gets better soon and thanks for the advice.

i'm right there with you. I have just started to be able to keep water down. I phoned my GP as i am pg so can't talk anything but she said just get as many fluids as possible; water, lucozade sport or dioralyte. Once i can keep those down, I will start on toast and marmite - that's my usual cure for morning sickness! after that, maybe some soup or some plain pasta.hope you feel better soon.

oh Olivo must be awful for you being pregnant, I hope that you feel better soon. Luckily I can keep food and water down just feel sick and have diarrhoea, hoping a couple of days of plain food will help that.

Take care of yourself.
