Apologies, I know this topic has been popular lately and I don't want to put off anyone who hasn't plucked up the courage yet but whenever I read anything about smears people always say they're not painful at all.
I went for one this morning and it was agonising at the time, I have bled since (not much, like the very tail end of a speriod -sorry!) and still feel really uncomfortable as if I've been badly bruised.
This is my second smear, the same thing happened after the first and all was well so I'm not especially worried about the pain and bleeding and of course putting up with the test is better than the alternative.
Just wondered if anybody else had experienced anything similar?
