Just wondering if anyone knows how soon after having a baby you should be due for a smear test?
DD is 15 months and I haven't had one....

think you can have one at six weeks check...provided no bleeding still

depends on when you last had one, the fact that you were pregnant should make no difference.

I had one at my 6 week check because i was overdue (smear due during pregnancy)

think I had one about 2 years before I got pregnant so am over 3 years now. Think I'll phone the docs and ask. Thanks.

I had mine 8 weeks after ds was born.

In the lab where I work we usually say 12 weeks - gives the hormones a chance to settle (affects the cells and can make them more difficult to read) and also you a chance to heal more.
