For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

polly I started running last year. Decided to do Race for Life so had to learn. When I'd tried before I would just go out and run, get knackered and give up. Last January I started with a podcast called Couch to 5k - have you got an iPod? Look it up on MN and you'll find a link. It's brilliant. It's just interval training (run-walk-run) half an hour 3 times a week, building up gradually, and I was doing 5k within 3 months It's brilliant and I really recommend it.

banana
apple juice
raisins
salad
grapes
raspberries and kiwi
lasagne (tsp of tomato!)

Quite a rubbish day today. DS had to have his hearing test re-done and has hearing loss in one ear We've got another appointment in a couple of weeks to find out how bad it is. It took aaaaaaages so I was sat there quite uncomfortably for over an hour and a half. Got a sleep this afternoon though and am going to bed in just a minute.

Happy Birthday Little Enjoy your pizza!

pinkspottywellies · 25/02/2009 19:24

Oh and my boobs are rock solid. OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWW

And the gap at the top of the thread is shite and I keep waiting for it load and realising it has loaded, just 4 inches away out of sight

TooTicky · 25/02/2009 19:29

Feed and feed and feed some more Pink, {{{{{{{{}}}}}}}}}}

I don't have a gap.

pinkspottywellies · 25/02/2009 19:32

TooT do you have adverts? That's why there's a gap - they've moved ads to over the top rather than down the side. I think you can turn them off can't you?

I keep telling my sleepy little man to feed some more It's not too bad yet and I'm managing to feed every couple of hours. Thinking of drafting dd in to help!!

pinkspottywellies · 25/02/2009 19:34

Oh and whoever said about wanting another one when they see a newborn... Do you remember giving birth???? It's horrific.

littlerach · 25/02/2009 19:34

I have a gap.

It is extremely annooying.
Pizza was nice, but never as nice as I think it iwll be.

TooTicky · 25/02/2009 19:38

Yes I have adverts.

You are fab Pink
How was the birth?

pinkspottywellies · 25/02/2009 19:43

The birth was horrible! It HURTS. It was very quick though. I looked at my notes and the 2nd stage was 4 minutes

TooTicky · 25/02/2009 19:45

Wow Pink, you meant business!! Very well managed.
And yes, I think I remember a certain amount of pain...

pinkspottywellies · 25/02/2009 19:49

Oh and TF, I'm only joking. It's fine. Giving birth is pleasant

It was actually much better than last time, and I felt like I knew what I was doing more and controlled what was happening. The MW said that it was all looking fine and the only reason I tore was because he had his hand over his face

Anyway. I have to go to bed now, before I pass out on the pute! If you see me again tonight, shout at me

FrannyandZooey · 25/02/2009 20:03

lemur oh no i don't really know much about impetigo but can obviously empathise with the health anxiety
if you decide he needs anti-bs then you can give probiotics which will help counteract the side effects
you can get a powder for children to mix in with food / drink or you can take them yourself and he will get via milk
let me know if you have trouble getting decent ones - we have fab health shop here

also i know you won't want him to have anti bs but he is quite old now comparatively, he will be ok
he has had a slice of jammy toast fgs

sorry you have been unwell - sleep deprivation is cruel

pink that#s hard to get news like that when he is so new
i hope the loss is minor and that you feel more yourself soon
the early days of feeding are just MAD and you feel so all over the place
you'll be doing it without thinking again soon

TooTicky · 25/02/2009 20:32

what are those lively, tailed creatures on your legwear?

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 25/02/2009 20:46

Sorry to hear about the test results Pink. Remember he is still your perfect little boy, not that you need me to remind you. Give the top of his head a sniff and a kiss from me

I would give birth again actually. I enjoyed it in a sort of sick and sadistic way. It's just so ............. powerful.

I agree the 3rd stage is an absolute chore.

Guadalupe · 25/02/2009 20:48

I have been feeling a bit broody, probably because ds2 is two and I've stopped feeding. Every time I hear of a home birth I feel a pang even though I am very happy for them. I really tried.

I am allowed 24 points and I have had 18 today and feel full!
