Quick overview:
Had a cracked pre-molar crowned last year.
Developed an abscess in that tooth recently.
Dentist opened up crown and drained pus.
Was coincidentally on Augmentin for 10 days for something else so dentist happy with antibiotic cover. Course finished Thursday.
Yesterday had 2nd stage of root canal treatment. Due to go in later this week for final treatment and permanent filling.
Dentist said to expect some discomfort after yesterday's treatment. Have to say there was a lot of lengthy drilling,scraping, etc.
Have taken ibuprofen but getting a lot of throbbing and zinging sensations in that tooth. I'm particularly worried because a healthy adjacent tooth is also very sensitive and zingy too. Is that normal?
I'm starting to panic that something is amiss and my teeth are going to fall out of my head.
