It is very painful and gives her sciatica pains all down her leg and in her back. She went to the doctors with a chronic cough (the whole town seems to have had that since last autumn!) and mentioned her pains and the swelling and it turns out she has a hernia
She has been taking paracetemol and ibruprofen, but has to be careful what she takes as she has high blood pressure and is on steroids for something else.
Is it worth putting heat pads on it, would that make it worse? Is she to rest or carry on as normal - she never asks the doctor anything. Anyone have an idea how long she will have to wait for surgery and what it involves?
