MMR when DC not well?

DS is due for his MMR today - he had a fever / virus a few days ago and still isn't himself - nappies quite strange, he's clingy and extra whingey. Should I reschedule the MMR or go ahead? Don't want to exacerbate his potential response to the jab...

They'll ask at the appointment if you go. If they've not had a fever they may go ahead with the jab (as apparently it can make it spike).
If you're worried I'd reschedule - no point dragging you both out to the clinic if they're going to tell you 'no' anyway

thanks iklboo. as it's the mmr jabs i'm extra nervous about DS being ill at the same time.

I'm sure they'll be happy to reschedule in the circumstances - they may be able to give you an appointment next week or something

You should reschedule IMO.

I rescheduled ds' MMR for that reason - I just wanted him to be in good health for it. My surgery was fine about it.

If you are worried, I would reschedule it. Personally I would want my child in good health when they had it.

I was in the nurse's room and then rescheduled it - thanks everyone! i think i did the right thing.
