Painful Stomach

My ds has been off his food for most of the week now - most unlike him as he is usually a pretty good eater. He has no other symptoms apart from complaining of tummy ache, and has been going to school. However, when it took him three quarters of an hour to eat his toast this morning, I thought I ought to take him to the doctors. Now, I have to say, my GP is brilliant and did give him a thorough examination. He said he could find nothing wrong with him except that he could feel his glands were up in his stomach and that he thought he must have had a virus of some sort and that it was his enlarged glands that were causing him problems. Fine.

Now, we have just returned home and he has done a poo which (apologies for being graphic) was very pale and almost yellowey in colour. Is this something to be concerned about or am I just being a paranoid mother?!

Nutjob - My dd (3)has just recovered from a strange virus/bug that caused her stomach pains and frequent loose(ish) poos - not yellow though. She had no other symptoms. A few friends kids have had the same - maybe something that is going around at the moment?

Phew - that's good to hear. Not that your dd was ill of course, but that it doesn't sound like anything serious. Thanks!!
