Lost tampon! (TMI)

I'm not really sure if I have actually lost one, I don't usually use them (have my lovely Mooncup), but I did use one a few days ago, and I really can't remember taking it out. I've had my mooncup in since, and i was a bit tricky to put in, but I didn't really put 2 and 2 together.
So I'm just having a bit of a panic. I've had a search around and I can't feel it anywhere.
My question is - where can it go - can it go anywhere beyond the reach of my finger?
If it was still there (probably been there five days at least), would I have had nasty symptoms of toxic shock yet, or does it take longer than that?

Reassurance, advice, anyone?

it would probably be smelly by now, and uncomfortable, so I think you have taken it out.

If not, you need to see a nurse or doctor to get it out for you.

If doubt you need somebody to get in there with a torch and hunt around!

Seriously - you won't be the first and you won't be the last - off you go to A&E, walk in clinic or family planning.

I would try squatting and bearing down, if you really can't remember if you removed it , you need to go to a&e, you are potentially at risk of toxic shock..
