What are your common symptoms of trapped wind and IBS?

Where do you get your pains and discomfort and how often etc?

Trapped wind symptoms: the most agonising pain that sometimes feels like someone has sewn a piece of string to the top of my stomach and then sewn it to somewhere near my pubic bone and is pulling the pieces together so hard I can't stand up straight without feeling like it's ripping my insides out. The only relief is to curl up with a hot water bottle and wait for the pain to go, or to have a relaxing bath and then lie down with a hot water bottle (or just to stagger around, bent over). The next day (after much passing of wind!!!), my insides feel achey and uncomfortable and a bit acidic, including under my ribcage. I can quite understand why people have mistaken trapped wind for something far more serious - it can be quite awful! I did have an abdominal operation as a baby (on my intestines), so have always wondered whether adhesions from this have made me more prone to trapped wind!

Is that graphic enough?
