This started for me 3 o clock in the morn.
I've been in bed all day and haven't eaten
anything. Is the general rule still to
starve the bug? I'm hungry, but worried about a scene from Exorcist occuring again.
Also my lower back is killing me, is ok to take paracetemal? Or will I chuck up again?

Please look into your crystal balls

Apparently now the general advice is not to necessarily starve the bug unless of course you really can't stomach any food. Dry things ike crackers and toast are pretty good for giving a bit of energy without disturbing the gut too much. Hope you feel better soon. Paracetamol is fine to take - shouldn't make you throw up again, but if you have a bugm you might throw up anyway I guess.
What sort of lower back pain do you have? Is it more on one side? Is it linked with when the sickness started?

tiredsville · 10/02/2009 17:46

Yes it started shortly after the d and v, spreading across the lower back. My knees really ache too.

Weeing is fine. I've been drinking lots of water. I think it's definitely a bug.

yes, kidney infection was why I asked about whether it was related.

Hi me again, is Milk of Magnesia ok to take with above title?
(Just typing those words makes me feel sick.)
I read that it apparently stimulates the colon, but to what degree? I don't want a repeat of yesterday.

It ought to calm your tummy down, not really a problem I think. Don't take any immodium or other stuff like that, your body needs rid of the nasties x
