Fit Flops -good or a gimick?

We've not long come back from a skiing holiday and I was very please to see my legs and bum had nicely toned up. But after a week at home, the flabby bum is back!

One of the girls at work has been wearing these fit flops and I'm wondering if I should get a pair? She's very skinny and pretty, but to be honest, they look like a bit of a gimmick. I wondered if anyone here has tried them?

I have some and love them - but not for toning! Very comfy and I like the look of them but they are a gimmick as far as exercise is concerned.
Sorry down to the gym with you,

Legoleia · 06/02/2009 13:51

My sis has them and says they seriously work her leg and bum muscles, and that she had to work up to being able to wear them for long. Was going to get some myself, but will possibly wait for cheerier weather!

Well, now's the time to buy them before everyone else realises they're out of shape as well.

have fitflops and mbts - I feel the difference with the mbts, fitflops very comfy but don't think they do much for my rear

What are mbts? My bum is hanging around my ankles after 2 pregnancies

fit flops do slippers now too!

Masai Barefoot Technology

I agree that these are better (although much more expensive!)

Although, i hate to say it but the only time my bum really feels like it has been toning up generally involves a painful regime of squats, lunges and running....everything else only tinkers round the edges of the arse!!

OK I have had mine for a month or so now.

My stomach is definitely much flatter (has been commented on) and my posture is improved so I look thinner although I have not lost weight. I am actually really suprised how much difference they have made to the tone of my abs/ core muscles.

ooh tempting then ! Can anyone link to the designer ones , is it ASOS or similar who have exclusivity ?

Bobbalina · 14/06/2010 18:16

I got mine at Charles Clinkard - they had a HUGE range.

I don't think they're particularly attractive looking, but for pounding the pavements they are good and they seemingly sort out your abs at the same time.
