I wouldn't worry if this is just a one off thing, if it continues for more than a few days or gets worse you should got to your GP.

It could just be a change to your diet? Something you ate, or a bit of a bug. There are a million and one conditions that it could be but I wouldn't go jumping the gun just yet.

Are you sure you're not pregnant?

I also get this with IBS but it could also be due to other factors, such as:

  • if you've eaten wind creating veg like beans, pulses, cabbage, broccoli etc
  • if you've eaten a lot of raw food in the same meal
  • if you've gone too long without food and then have eaten a large meal
  • if you've eaten your meal too quickly.

If it continues, try just having come healthy soup for a few days to settle your digestion. You could also buy some Aloe Vera juice for H&B or another good health food shop. It's great for settling your digestive tract. Also, peppermint tea or fennel tea are good for the digestion after a meal.

You could also try eating small meals at regular times of the day too.

Don't worry about it though as that could also tense up your stomach.
