Is this OK or should I go to the docs?

7 days ago, I had the start of a nasty bug. I shivered and sweated all night, then spent the next two days in bed sleeping and feeling generally fluey. On the 3rd day I got up and had some food pretty much for the first time as couldn't face anything. I immediately felt sick but wasn't. Within 10 mins I was on the loo with diarrhoea and couldn't eat for the rest of the day. On the 4th day, I ate some toast and kept it down - it felt OK and I was hungry so in the evening I ate some more with eggs - again, fine. On the 5th day I ate toast and eggs, some rice and a bit of pasta with sauce. I thought I'd cracked it as apart from some gripey stomach pains, I felt generally OK. However, yesterday, having spent all day eating toast again, I ate a "normal" meal last night - beef stroganoff, rice and green beans - I tasted GREAT. However, within 20 mins I'm in agony again and on the loo where it all came out. Had Immodium and suffered windy, crampy stomach all night. Got up this morning HUNGRY as hell. Ate some toast and drank some coffee and I'm fine again....
Obviously I need to keep my meals VERY simple as I don't seem to be able to cope with anything other than rice, eggs, pasta and bread... but do you think this is all part of the same bug? What else could I try as I'm sick to death of eating "bunging up" foods!! I hate going to the GP as I've no other symptoms but has anyone else experienced continuing stomach issues for this long after a bout of stomach flu or whatever I've had?? How should I proceed from here?!!

It could be the same bug.
I did have a nasty bug once that left me with post-infective IBS. You might find that staying off dairy and perhaps even wheat might help. If I were you I'd prob go to the doctor if I was the same after the weekend.

Im feeling much the same at the moment , started terrible stomach pains 6 days ago, felt headachy and nauseus , didnt eat anything all day , felt so bad dropped dds off to my parents after school run and flopped into bed ,waiting to start being sick or running to the loo. Felt horrible all weekend, pain in stomach on and off all day , then eventually spent most of Sunday night on the loo. Felt a bit better on Mon, ate some toast ,ok, terrible pain again at night on and off. Not too bad yesterday , but I feel full of wind , and odd niggly pains , ate a small but normal meal last night and hey presto ended up on the loo again in the night and this morning ! Im fantasising about food , when is this going to go ? Im sure it must be a bug , but Ive never had anything last this long. Im so fed up.

Debris - this sounds almost identical to mine. It's awful isn't it? I'm working tomorrow morning and just thinking that I really should not eat anything just in case it upsets me again. Sitting here with girgling stomach and niggly stomach pains. What a nightmare!
