Positive decisions

There are 3 things I'd like to do health wise:

  • lose some weight
  • reduce the amount of alcohol I drink
  • reduce the risks to my health (lower blood pressure, lower body fat).

However I am conscious that all these seem like very negative goals and are all about loss. I have decided to change how I approach these aims and so this is what I am doing....

I am aiming to GAIN 14 pounds in thinness
I am aiming to GAIN savings of £63 by replacing a glass of wine with a glass of fruit juice
I am aiming to GAIN 21 health points (one point for every 10,000 steps walked)

In practical terms that means eating healthily, having 3 alcohol free days per week, and being more active (I am wearing my pedometer now).

I am going to post on this thread every week to record my progress towards these positive gains.

Today (week 0)
pounds in thinness 0
money saved 0
health points 0

Roll on next week!

Good for you! The "pounds in thinness" seems a bit unattractive how about thinking of it as "my body looking fabulous" or "body beautiful points" and you can count up to your goal body beautiful points of 14 pounds.

I see where you are coming from Samsonara but "body fabulous" doesn't quite ring true for me - yet.

After years of trying to lose weight the concept of gaining thin-ness really appeals at the moment.

Maybe my next target will be the body beautiful.

the most important thing is that what you call it inspires you and works for you so gowith gaining thinness and I think it's a great idea to be positive as you are , now just keep on clocking up those points!
