before my first child i was a 14 i bf and slimmed down to a size 12 with no dieting or excercise. My ds is now one and im now a size 10 (never thought this be possible as ima curvey women) again i lost my weight very quickly after pregnacy with no effort. Everyone has noticed my weightloss and think im not eating well when in fact im eating aload of crap especially sweet stuff. My mum thinks i should go to the docs but i feel a bit odd going to the docs to complain about weightloss?

Could you have a thyroid problem? That can cause rapid weight loss and is common post-birth, apparently.

I'm a totally diferent shape now after 2 dc than pre-pg

Used to be 14-16

Now 10-12

For me it's the change in lifestyle... no longer have the option of being a total slob

For me running around after DD, breastfeeding and then watching what I eat because I don't want her to eat crap has helped to maintain a better weight.
So although you dont think that you're dieting or exercising, you're prob eating much better and doing much more.

Yeah thats what i was thinking although i did wonder whether i could have a problem with my thyroid. I def think bfing helped me to shift the weight quickly.

BF

Eating 3 meals a day (with the dc)

Cutting out the crap (so they don't hassle for it)

No longer being able to freqent Public Houses for roast dinners and 3 pints of Guinness every Sunday (most likely reason)

Sorry, I was watching something today about this so have started another thread. I didn't see this first.

the fact that i wasn't drinking and eating out all the time meant that after I gave birth to my first I weighed two stone less than before i was pregnant. have kept it off too. also helps that i am never still running around after a 2 yr old!
