Pants! I have lots of stitches in my scalp and am feeling a bit sorry for myself.

I went to my GP practice to have a sebaceous cyst removed from my scalp. I should have had it done years ago but I ignored it for ages. It didn't seem that big to me, a bit larger than a marrowfat pea, so I thought there'd be a little cut, maybe a couple of cm long at most. It turns out the cyst was actually quite long and only a portion of it was sticking up, so the cut is about 6 cm long. I'm still glad I've had it done, it's just a shame I didn't do it ages ago when it was still relatively small.

It looks quite ugly at the moment, it starts about 1cm back from the hairline above my forehead and stretches back from there. My hair isn't very thick so it's quite noticeable, I don't know whether to wear a hat for a while or just brazen it out.

It's probably less noticable than you think, because you're aware of it, but other people won't be looking there. Hope it heals up quick.

I think it probably does look quite bad RB. My cleaner's daughter was babysitting DS this afternoon while I had it done and she obviously thought it looked scary when I came home as my lovely cleaner has texted to say I should call her if I don't feel well. DH is away until tomorrow and I think she's worried about me being on my own with DS.

It's a pity DH isn't here, he's not very sympathetic generally but the sight of blood is usually good for a few cups of tea and a paracetamol.
