I have a sore nose - not really, it hurts. Blood and everything.

I have had this a few times in the last 2 years or so. It feel like I have a - please excuse the description - huge dry bogey up there, but when I blow my nose it is a lump dried blood (sometimes I het a tiny nosebleed too). It is quite sore up there just now (think 'sticking a finger up your nose after chopping chillies' and you'll get the idea).

Does anyone else get this? I don't generally get nosebleeds.

Maybe it has become infected through over picking

I am not!!! No, really I don't (really hate that - have you realised that men seem to do this when they are driving and they stop at a red light. And they think we can't see them??)

I think you should see your GP - my sister got a special spray for this as she suffered from repeated sore nose bogey thing. It got so bad that it was like ulcers and one nostril became infected from it - really nasty. Do not be embarrassed, they will have heard of it before and can help you - dunno how it worked. I think it lubricated the nostril inside (like a vicks nasalspray thingie) and whether it loosened it or stopped them sticking I am not sure. Whatever it did, I know my sister still uses it at the end of every cold to stop it coming back

Anyway, you should take yourself to see your GP if it is really sore, it may just be a slight infection

My oldest friend recently had nose cancer, not trying to scare you or anything, as i am sure its not that, but see your GP

She is fine now, fully recovered

I don't get embaressed any more. Not since I have piles and had to show the nurse!!!

You can get the cream over the counter. Definately worth it!

I have had cream before, but they are still there, how do you get rid completely? sorry for the hijack

I get coldsores up my nose and it feels a bit like that. Often leaves a raw bit that takes ages to go away and bleeds a little bit

I'm not sure if they ever go completely - they just shrink down and can come back.
