Try to do one thing and then you can justify a lie down

SoupDragon · 29/01/2009 14:36

and I don't mean picking up one sock...

MrsMerryHenry · 29/01/2009 14:38

slap!

singyswife · 29/01/2009 14:38

I cant lie down, school pick up is in 45 minutes and then I am stuck here with 2 dd's and 2 dogs to walk. Right will go clean the rats, I have been shredding paper for it since I came on mn so I will go do that and then that is another job I can score off the list.

but it is tomorrow.......why are you fretting NOW??

honestly, if you wake in the morning and are still ill, cancel, if not, then you have all tomorrow to clean your lounge and bathroom (the only rooms that in all honesty they would be seeing).

singyswife · 29/01/2009 14:56

Yeah I know it is tomorrow but the kids are on a half day tomorrow and I always take them out on a Friday. Have terrible bad mother thoughts if I dont. I have to cook the food tomorrow, walk to the post office (weekly job), make sure everywhere is acceptable and then pack the kids up for the night at their grans.

Have cleaned the rats and am just going to run a hoover round the place (cleaning rats is a messy business)

the world will not end if you don;t take them out tomorrow.

get them to help you cook instead.......can be a different type of 'mummy time'

singyswife · 29/01/2009 15:06

Taht might work.

Have just hoovered the hall and dining room end of livingroom. Feel sick now so need a wee rest. Will do something else when I have picked kids up and walked dogs. Honestly why cant the magic fairies come in and do everything so I can go to bed.

y I agree with psychomum
Forget it today - take it easy, early night etc and get up tomorrow with a clear head and total tidy up when kids are out and spend afternoon letting them help you with nibbles and finishing the house off/pack their own bags for grans house. Can the post not wait for Sat morning/Mon morning?

singyswife · 29/01/2009 15:11

No it has to be done on a friday. I have to walk though as dh has the car on a friday. It takes about 45 mins round trip so that cuts into my tidying time.

I will get there. Must stop being a whinging cow.

Start by turning off the computer.

Tis always a good start for me.

Walk away and do something.
