Doesnt matter how much I eat of dinner, I keep bingeing in the evening!! If I have no binge food in house I will order some/go to shop. Its between 6pm-8pm

During day I am fine. And after 8 I calm down.

It must be habbitual. Any ideas welcome?

Read a book or do a crossword or something at these times. Me and dd got a ds between us for xmas and I find that if I do the brain training or a suduko puzzle at night I dont want to eat and as my hands are busy I wouldnt be able to eat anyway.

I'm like this too. Mostly I just try to ensure the binge is fruit rather than chocolate. I find that it's the act of mindlessly eating that's so calming/comforting, rather than what I'm eating necessarily.

Mumsnet for life. I don't tend to eat when I'm on here. Sadly tho' I'm off down to watch Lost from Sunday & will stuff an entire bag of peanuts down my face before 10.

I know I shouldn't & rationally I'm telling myself not to but I still will & I sympathise withyou.

Thanks.

I have a history of eating dissorders and this is my legacy of it. Have started eating a snack late afternoon so Im not starving by dinner. Then I have a fairly big dinner, so I cant physically binge on a lot as there is no room.

I think the ideas about getting involved in something else is right. I cant MN right after - I just cant concentrate my mind is saying "need more food, need more food". So how do I get from putting down fork to being involved in whatever it is?
