Ok I know, I know, I know, slap for not ever having one.I am only 28 but I think there is something wrong. I came off the depo injection last April with a view to trying for another baby. I have not had a period since. Anyway, the past few weeks its got painful to have sex and afterwards I bleed (badly enough to 'use something') for over 24 hours afterwards. The back of my left hip and pelvis gets stabbing pains in a lot throughout the day. Whenever I go to the toilet (for a number 2!) I end up bleeding from the front end as well.

I need to book an appointment don't I??

Been wondering how you are Angel - don't worry if you'd rather not say how it went, but if you feel like letting us know be good to know your'e ok.

heck look at this layout?!? eek!!

well i went and she thinks it may be the depo leaving my system. She did a smear test and she said everything 'looks' ok in there (sorry if TMI) She said I have got an ec..somthing or other womb, which basically means its very sensitive and bleeds easily. The smear test made me bleed quite a lot actually and she was surpised how easily it happened. SHe also said if I am still getting the pain/bleeding in april to go back and she will refer me for further tests as it will have been a year since coming off the depo. I have also got a blocked bartholins gland that I may need a small op on (NOOOOOOOO!!) Just got to wait and see if the results of the smear come back ok as well now.

Thanks for your support and thanks for thinking of me teapot.

Did the dr say: Ectropion or ectropian? Sometimes it's called an erosion. Normal physiological thingy. It's where the cervical 'skin' is really thin and the blood vessels are close to the surface. so this area bleeds easier and gets inflammed easily too.
Personally if, you're still having bleeding problems then I wouldn't leave it until April to go back, I'd give it a few weeks and see the Gp again.
Hth

Cervical erosions are very common and can be caused by hormones imbalances etc. I had one at 24- decades ago- which coincided with taking/coming of the pill.
Nowadays they usually sort it out as a day case- maybe cauterize it.
I agree that April seems a long way off- maybe give it another 6 weeks and see how you go.

Erosions are not serious but you just need to make sure what it is you have- and get it sorted.
