Hi all i wasn't sure where to put this post, so hope i got the right place. I had a strange and painful experience last night after having sex with my partner. Anyone who can give me any adivice would be great. We'd fininshed what we were doing, and i moved to lie down. I had a cramping pain inside the vagina wall, similar to contraction pains. As i was describing the symptons to my partner, i felt the need to go to the toilet. Once there, i felt the need to push, from my vagina! I'm not pregnant, i have a 3yr old so i know what its like to go through the motions. But the next thing i know, i'm panting uncontrollably with this pain, i can't stop panting, and i feeel like i'm about to give birth! I'm definately not pregnant cause i had a period new years day. Anyway, my partner at this point is just in total shock at me as i'm on my hands and knees sweating and almost passing out. All in all the crazy experience lasted 5-10 mins, but now i'm left with an aching in what feels like my ovaries, like two seperate aches either side of lower abdomen and when i go to the toilet both ways, the sharp pain slowly creeps in strong as i strain to go (pass wee or whatever), has anyone ever had anything like this? it was really scary, my lower abdomen feels really sensitive aswell. Any advice would be great. Thanks.

Are you sure it's in the vaginal area and not something like ibs. I've had ibs symptoms and got terrible cramps, sweating and sharp pains down both sides. Obviously the doctor is best idea, but I went with what I thought was a gynae problem (lots of aches and shooting pains in lower pelvis and ovary area and had scans and all sorts and it was put down to a bowel prob. It can be difficult to distinguish what's what in that area.

Hi deleting, i cant rule out ibs, but the sudden urge to push and the panting seems way too weird. Its been really painful over the day, it hurts when i sit down, as if ive sat on something. if it hasn't gone after a couple of days, i'm going to the gp.

how are you today? have you still got the pain?

You sound like you're in labour to me. Could htis be one of those hidden pregancies you get in the trashy magazines?

Go to the doctor now.
