Normally just take 2 puffs of brown one morning and night!

You only need the blue if you're having an attack, or about to do something that will give you an attack (I use the blue one if I'm about to go running). I'd just try three puffs, of the brown instead?

SaltireOShanter · 19/01/2009 13:03

Well I never usually need the blue one, but since I ahve a chest infection and am really struggling for breath, he ahs said, for 48 hours, take 2 puffs of each, 4 times a day

Oh, then follow RubyRioja's advice then, she sounds like she knows what she's doing.

norksinmywaistband · 19/01/2009 13:15

def, blue first then brown as per ruby's instructions.
If airways are restricted due to inflammations, infection and secretions, the steroids in the brown will only have an effect if they can reach the airways, the Blue, will allow the brown to get where it needs to.

Hope you are feeling better soon

Hope you get better soon. Probably a good time to book a review with the asthma nurse? Mine have been great and my treatment is hugely improved.
