Should I see a doc or wait until end of the month?

Problem.... since mid-oct to 3rd wk in dec I suffered from a bad cold/flu. Had 2 courses of antibiotics and chest x-ray which showed a shadow on the lung.

Was told to have repeat x-ray at the end of jan to see if everything has cleared, but, in the past 3 or 4 days I have developed the cough again and also it hurts on the left side when I take deep breaths (not same side as shadow by the way).

Do I wait or go and possibly waste their time?

WWYD?

Don't wait.

Go back next week.

Hope you are okay.

Dont wait, you wouldnt be wasting anyones time.

I would go back purely incase you need some more anti=bs to clear it up. If you have weak lungs from previous infection it might come back again

Thats what I thought, but, hate wasting their time. Have letter for walk in centre for repeat x-ray. Would you just go for that earlier than planned (open sat and no date on it) or would you go to docs 1st?

Thanks for replying by the way.

Sounds like you've had a nasty chest infection and were improving. You've since deteriorated with lung-sounding chest pain. There are a number of possibilities which can't be ruled out without taking a history and examination. Therefore I think you need to see your doc again, and don't feel your bothering him/her. CXR today is probably going to be useful, but without the full story I would wait and talk to your GP first.

Thanks Northwest. Am going to speak to doc on monday (or at least try and get appointment).
Apreciate all the answers.

Thank you everyone.
