Cystitis and seeing the doctor

I first started feeling ropey on Wednesday with mild twinges but nothing much. However it started in earnest yesterday afternoon and I felt very ropey. Drank loads of water and a bit of bicarb which helped a lot and managed to get a good night sleep.

Thought I was feeling better when I woke up but I'm now aware that my back is starting to hurt and I feel a bit sick. Haven't had cystitis for years so have forgotten what exactly I'm supposed to be doing but am a bit worried that the backache is my kidneys and that I might need to go to the doctors.

Any advice gratefully received, many thanks.
