frequent periods

Hoping that someone can put my mind at ease with this one. Have always been very regular, with a 35 day cycle. Fell pregnant on first go both times (two DD's). DD2 is now 8 months and my cycle is now fortnightly. I breast fed for 5 months, during which time I also had the contraceptive injection, this bought on a period, then stopped breast feeding mid oct. Had a month, then a normal period, then another month cycle, since then been every 2 weeks. feel fine apart from that, proper bleeding, not spotting. DD has her 8 month check coming up, so was going to mention it then, but not sure whether i should be more concerned. only 32, everything I have read about frequent periods is in relation to menopausal women.

Are you very heavy?

Frequent periods can also be linked to fibroids.

Mine however are linked to perimenopause.

Don't forget cycles change especially after having DC and outside hormonal influence of contraceptives also have an effect.

I would mention it to GP next time you visit, rather than HV tbh

No heavier than before DC's. I have been thinking that i will settle, and that it is still only 3 months since stopped breast feeding, but tbh fed up of them. 8 month check is with GP rather than HV, that's why I thought of mentioning it then. whats perimenopause?

Menopause is when you have not had a period for 12 months perimenopause is the 6 or so years leading up to that point

Hi,

I have recently been diagnosed yeast intolerant aswell as some other foods, but yeast being the main one, i have cut them out of my diet completely for about a 6 weeks since then i had a period which lasted 10 days off for 2 and then back on again, do you think it could be related to me not eating yeast..
