bleeding started 7wks post-birth

Hi, I've just started experiencing some very light bleeding a few days ago - about 7 wks after giving birth. I didn't have much post-partum bleeding and it cleared up very quickly so not sure what this is now. I have my 6wk check booked in for a few day's time so will ask the GP then, but just wondered if anyone else had experienced this? Should I be worried?

Could it be your period?

Or, if you have been sexually active, possibly an implantation bleed?

Your period? I had periods within 4-5 weeks of all 3 DDs in spite of BF on demand.

I had something similar happen to me.

I stopped bleeding about 2 days after a c-section and didn't bleed again for about 4-5 weeks. Then bled for a few weeks.

I was checked out by my gp, who phoned the hospital and checked with a consultant who said it was nothing to worry about and sometimes women bleed at different times and for different lengths of time.

Not an implantation bleed! Sexually active - are you joking?!

I did think period at first but it doesn't feel like one - no aches or anything. Could be though, didn't realise it could start this soon so thanks dooit. I should know by the time I see the GP as it should have stopped by then if it is just a period.
