Yesterday at around 3pm I started to feel a bit eugh-ish. This is nothing unusual as I think I have candida (self diagnosis) so spent a lot of time feeling/being sick at the minute. I'm waiting for the tablets DR has given me to run out so I can go back and tell him they haven't worked. Again.

This morning I felt a little better, then at around 11am started to have these weird eggy burps which are still happening now and making me feel really ill. My tummy is quite crampy and I've gone to the toilet about 7 times today but it's not really diarrhoea,.

Can anyone explain this and make it stop so I can sleep. Pretty please [cry]

I usually get those burps when I'm coming down with a stomach bug, sorry! Hope you feel better soon.

nooooooooooo! Will I be sick? How long does it last for you?

It might come to nothing but is usually a sign not all is well in your tum- but you know that. Hopefully it will pass without any actual vomiting.

uhoh - and so it begins! Been awake since 4 with horrendous diarrhoea. Still got the burps but no sickness at all.

I work as a nanny, should I be calling in sick (again!) or is it ok because there is no sick? Rang NHS direct and spoke to an out of hours GP, they said 48 hours after diarrhoea has stopped. Seems a bit strict to me and my boss is going to be furious.

Any advice? I don't feel that bad really, just like period type pain in tummy and am thinking a tablet could stop the diarrhoea? But obviously I don't want to spread anything around. What do you all think?

TIA x

Well I called the child minder I work with at 7am and told her what has happened and she agreed that best to stay home. It's the family that I work for in the afternoon that it will be difficult for.

I will call them at 9ish and let them know and offer to come in then it's down to them if they want to risk it. Last thing I want is to make anyone else ill!
