disgusting toe problem

I have really bad chilblains which look like gigantic itchy bites, really red and sore. One toe has swollen up so much that my toenail is sort of getting buried at one side. I was playing with it in the bath just now and a load of pus came out. What should I do with it? Squeeze more pus out? Try and dig my toenail out? Give it a wash and leave it alone?

I would pop to see a chiropodist so they can take a look and advise you what to do, then the practice nurse as it sounds infected. You have an ingrowing toenail and it needs looking at by a professional and sorting out. You also need to get the infection sorted out aswell. Just wrap it up and make an appointment tomorrow.
