Rash on hands. Measles?

This morning I woke up and I have got a rash over my hands. It is really red and itchy. I tried to make an appointment with my GP today but there weren't any.

Just been on NHS direct and did the self help thing and because I had a cough at the end of last week it says I may have measles.

My DS's are 21 months and 3 weeks and it has worried me now. Is there any thing I can look out for until I can get to see a GP?

My mum says I have had the jab as a child.

Going to ring the GP first thing in the morning.

Itchy rash on hands doesn't sound very measley to me. Could it be a reaction to something? Do you have anything on your feet or in your mouth?

Sounds like dermatitis/eczema of some sort.My hands are red and itchy all winter.

I rang the out of hours GP and he said it is very unlikely to be measles.

I do get dermatitis and this is alot worse, can't think of anything new we have used. So will see GP(hopefully) today.

My nephew just had hand, foot and mouth disease (virus) and had itchy rash that almost looked like bites, all over his hands. None on his feet, and nothing much to see in his mouth...but thats what it was. Good idea to see GP, good luck!

Have you been wearing gloves? I'm wondering if it's aan allergic reaction to something on your hands.

It doesn't sound like measles at all. It doesn't really sound like hand foot and mouth either, usually the rash for that looks like small blisters and isn't itchy.

I have been wearing gloves hen I've gone out. But I've been wearing them for ages.
