Painful Boil??

I've been really ill the last week or so with the flu and an ear infection and a day or so ago I started out with a spot which now seems to be a angry red painful lump (very top inner thigh).

Has anyone else had this? DP insists its a boil and you get them when you're run down but do you get a hard, painful lump with them?

Yes. Have you been taking antibiotics?

The advice on this thread should help even though it's in a different area.

Yeah amoxicillin...

They tend to run you down a bit.

I would try hot compresses, baths and other suggestions on the other thread - and then try gently popping it.

It it's really sore for more than a few days I'd get it checked out.

It's gone down a bit but it is painful. My thighs are reaching a stage where they rub together (blames the baby!) so it hurts loads when I walk. I've started walking like I'm trying to pee at the same time!
