Flu Sympathy Thread

DP had it over Christmas. And now I have it.

Although he did get to stay in bed and be miserable for a few days.

Anyone also feeling dreadful but have kids to look after?

Why can't DH look after the children ILLMD?

He's at work until 6:00 pm...

I woke up Tuesday morning unable to move, aching from head to toe with full on flu! DP cooked xmas dinner for him and our LO and I stayed in bed, then boxing day DP woke up with it so we were both in bed, had to get my mum to come and pick up our 1 yr old DS and me and DP slept in separate rooms as I was starting to feel better! I'm pregnant so can't take half the good stuff DP can take! What a miserable Christmas eh!!

DP is still sick as a dog in bed where as I just feel like I'm swollowing glass and have a have a horrible chesty, snotty cough!! Lovely!

Zebraa - Poor you!

Am sure I've lost about 5 pounds in last 24 hours! Got the dizzy thing, hollow legs, and am a frequent flyer to bathtoom!

Put all the left overs into ziplock bags and in the freezer as no one will be eating much....

DD is already saying, 'no more turkey!'

Ah ILLMD i see the prob.

The only thing I can suggest if you're not pregnant is maximum doses of every potion going and maximum dose of vitamin C daily. I've been using a throat spray which helps when I wake up in the night feeling like 've got glass stuck in my throat.

DP says take medication from the minute you wake up and don't stop, every 4 hours top up.
