can i just say, i'm bloody shitting it. i hate this. everytime the phone rings i think 'this is it'. when dh nurse called last week i honestly thought 'this could be it' but turned out it was just to inform me that he was having ICD fitted.

my what a charming turn of phrase young lady

think that's a fairly natural reaction, of course you are. You know we're all thinking of you and DH and kids don't you. From all your posts I believe you're a lady of amazing strength misdee, you'll get through this and out the other side to a brighter future.

misdee · 27/03/2005 19:59

Hiya misdee, can understand the jumpy-rabbit-at-phone thing.

Can't imagine the stress. I'd agree with Twiggers. You're being amazing (well, at least from what I can tell by the typing... ... perhaps inside it's another story ? )

Hope you're occasionally scheduling something that takes your mind off stuff, even just for a very short period of time.

Think you're entitled to a little colourful language under the circumstances

misdee · 28/03/2005 21:16

dh should be home at the weekend if he continues to improve and also remains stable, and providing the site where the ICD was fitted doesnt get infected. he is looking so much better today.

Glad to hear he's looking better - everything crossed for you all that he is home at weekend. Misdee I think you are an amzingly strong woman for carrying on despite all that has been thrown at you - I'm shitting it over a little labour pain !!! - (due in about a week and a half)

WideWebWitch · 28/03/2005 21:26

This must be so terrifying misdee, thinking of you.
