When I am looking at anything it appears to be moving upwards, when I was outside just now I was convinced that a football was rolling but it was still, this is now happening when watching telly the image appears to be moving when I know it is still. Please help really making me feel disorientated.Anyone else had this?

it sounds like a floater and COULD indictae a problem with your retina. call nhs direct straight away for advice. it could be many other things though so don't panic but do call

I only know of LSD (acid) that has this effect. Is it possible that someone may have spiked your drink about two hours ago?

CoteDAzur · 23/12/2008 20:28

It doesn't sound like a floater at all, actually.

Floaters are common in nearsighted people and I have one. It looks like a thread moving with my vision, not like everything I look at is moving.

CoteDAzur · 23/12/2008 20:29

prettypurpledaisy - What happens when you stare at a blank wall for 10-20 seconds? Do you begin to see movement?

prettypurpledaisy · 24/12/2008 08:13

Thanks for the replies, it went away again just after I had posted, if i looked at anything it seemed to move, bit freaky. Will ring NHS direct if it happens again.
Sadly not LSD but similar feeling (not that I know you understand in case my children are reading this!)
