Sticky Eye - Any tips

My dd2 has a sticky eye and it is quite swollen, it is her first birthday party on Sunday and i would like the swelling and stickiness to have gone down by then as the poor mite gets distressed when we have to keep bathing it.

We used brolene from the chemist. Not sure if there is an age limit on it though so its worth asking your pharmacist. The drops are easier to get in than the cream but its a nightmare all round.

Apparently breast milk is good for sticky eyes so if you're still BFing try and get a little on your finger or some cotton wool wipe over her eye.
Can't actually remember were I read or heard this but it does apparently work.
