swelling inside nose what could this be??

Hi , noticed yesterday when blowing my nose that it felt slightly tender like it was bruised or something . Have had a look with a torch (sorry bit gross) and there seems to be a red swelling on the inside of my nose quite high up on the bone side not the outer bit of the nostril ,Am panicking now anyone know what this could be??

A boil?

a cold sore? i get them there and they are bloody painful

Do you think so....I have been googling stuff and frightening myself silly.

Probably a spot or a boil.
I've got one in my nose thsi week too. Its horribly painful!!!

Actually it's more likely to be an infected hair follicle. The inside of your nose is home to a plethora of bacteria and the hairs sometimes come out when you blow your nose leaving a little hole which the bacteria can fester in (nice). It will go. It'll probably make your eyes water if you poke it though so don't!

Its quite high up tho - could you really get a cold sore all the way up - sorry to be gross again>

i get spots and sores a lot

I have had lots of cold sores way up high they are killers.
