Really bad pain in my right side under the ribs. Started on Friday before I got up, tender to the touch and hurt when I stretch. Gradually got worse over weekend, I yelp if I press it or when someone hugs me. Went to Dr Monday morning and she says she thinks its Gallstones and is referring me for a scan.

I'm 5'7", weigh 9 1/2 stone and I'm vegetarian. How the hell can I have gallstones? I don't eat animal fat or anything fried. The only thing I can think of is cheese and I don't eat a hell of a lot of that!

Just getting over the winter sickness virus thingy. Might have been blood in sick but don't know cos it was dark when I was sick and washed bowl after. DD found blobs of blood on the bathroom floor with some sick I missed.

Loads of people have gallstones and while it's more prevelent in overweight women over 40 it's not prescriptive. They don't know that fat causes the gallstones at all. [they do know that fat can make gallbladder problems worse or make you feel worse because your gallbladder can't release sufficient bile to digest such things]. Try not to fall into the thought that it's a disease that only fat, deep-fried things eating people get!
