itchy bits

My doctor diagnosed it as 'dermatitis' but that is not helping my itching. Steroid cream helped a bit but I don't want to use it again and the itching is returning (or still there). The back of my neck, my groin, sometimes back of knees and occasionally left armpit. Why why why??? Does anyone have any idea re the cause? No known reactions to new products or foods, I don't know what to do next...

Hi my husband used to get this under his armpits used to drive him crazy!.

I changed washing powder to an unsented one and it cleared up (such as surecare)
He never used to have a problem so you can develop a sensitivity at any time.
This sound exactly what you are suffering from.
