My boobs really hurt

I had a breast reduction a year ago, this last week my breast are really sore, especially when I take off my bra and put my pj's on, they kind of really hurt from being touched by the fabric IYSWIM. They also seem to have got bigger over the last week which I am not very happy about. Does anyone have any ideas what could be causing this as I am starting to get a bit worried.

I would still test just to be sure.
But other than that, where in your cycle are you?
How old are you? It's probably hormonal, but I can understand your worry.
Ring your doctor in the morning.

thexmasstockingmonsterofdoom · 14/12/2008 08:56

I have been trying to work out when in my cycle I am but I really cant. It does seem like ages since I last had a period but I cant be sure, been a busy few weeks.
as I am sat here I am really uncomfortable and ever since the op one of the best things has been that I dont need to wear a bra to be comfortable.
I am resisting the urge to google in case of one finding somehting really sinister and 2 coming up with tons of dodgy porn.

Have you put weight on or retaining fluid? This would be my initial suspicion, particularly as it is when they are unsupported rather than an all day ache.
If you dont think it is time of the month/additional half a stone or more over the last month or two, then perhaps see a GP to get it checked.
Mild pain relief and plenty to drink ( in case it is onset of all over achiness and fluey thing/virus starting best get fluids in now!)

Test just to rule pregnancy out.

When did he get the all clear on his samples?

Lol at the dodgy porn.

oops x posted.
I would still test first as that's probably what the doctors would suggest anyway, justto rule it out.

Lemontart · 14/12/2008 09:01

Also - we often retain water when we are dehydrated so a few boozy nights out or even too much coffee, not enough water/fruit juice can all make us dehydrated and so a bot bloated.

thexmasstockingmonsterofdoom · 14/12/2008 09:03

I have put weight on, but not over the last month or so. It could be time of the month except I have never had sore boobs at the time.

will avoid the coffee for a few days and see if that helps.

following another thread this morning I have been trying to work out when my period last was and neither dh or I have any idea but think it is overdue, I will be gutted if I am menopausal.
actually I kept waking up in the night really hot and sweaty and have been getting up in the night to wee when I dont usually, are they signbs of menopause?
I also did a 10k run last wekend and had trouble becaue I had really bad cramps, like period pains.
am now winding myself up here.

I saw that thread too.
How old are you? I suppose potentially you could be peri-menopausal, but you would need bloods to confirm that.
Or it could be an imbalance. Again bloods needed and a trip to the doctors.
Honestly, test first, then rule everything else out.
I know he has been done, but they have been known not to work.

thexmasstockingmonsterofdoom · 14/12/2008 12:13

done test, definatley negative we worked out that we think I am about a week overdue. I am 34 and really dont want to be going through the menopause yet.
I think I need to focus on other areas of my health, ie lose some weight before I can work out what is wrong, I am not majorly overweight but am a little.
