Dd1 who is 18yr has been unwell since wednesday.Headache, earache and sore throat with a temp. She has been taking painkillers and drinking.Today her tonsils are so swollen she is finding it hard to swallow.
Should i wait abit longer and see if she starts to improve or phone the out of hours.I know they don't always give AB's but i'm abit worried.

I would go down the out of hours GP/walk in centre route. If the tonsils are that bad she may well need ABs - no point her suffering over the weekend if they will give her something for it.

yes i would go to the doctor to. The will not give you anti-bs unless there is the white or yellowish nasty stuff on the tonsils. I reccommend that you go to holland and barrett and get some vitamin c as ascorbic acid and start taking the reccomended doses.
