13 months and *no* teeth!

When should I start worrying? He looks so silly with this little squidgy gummy mouth and there are absolutely no signs of any teeth!!!

Both my children were "late" getting teeth. DD1 was about 14-15 mths, dd2 had one tooth at 6mths, then nothing for the next year! My HV said that it was actually good for them to not have teeth until as late as possible, as it protected their milk teeth from attack from suar/acid etc. Apparently they are not as resitant as "big" teeth, so can be eroded easily even if you are careful with brushing etc.

BTW, dd1 could bite a apple whole with her little squidgy little gums- I think they are tougher than they look!

dd2 got her first just a week after her 1st birthday (dd1 had her first at 5 mths) - and even now they come through slowly (nearly 2) so don't fret

Thanks He does have a fair bite on him I must admit... he must be so fed up of me poking around in his mouth looking for things though lol

I'm barely awake... I have no idea where Theo's wandered to!! Erm Erm how about we delay until tomorrow.... we could meet in town or something I think I have next vouchers

My ds got his first 2 teeth (middle bottom) at 11 months, but now at 14 months there's no sign of anymore. Was a little concerned, but very reassured by this thread. Thank you
