eye drops in a newborn

I've read some other threads about eye drops but wondered if there are any tips specific for a newborn? We have the watery drops, not the viscious (sp) ones. They say every 3 hours on the indtructions - do you suppose that means during the night as well??

I'm afraid it does, but you don't have to be that rigid about it. I would put them in if you both happen to be awake at those times (fairly likely in a newborn!). Have you tried breast milk?

stopped b/feeding already although I did think about asking a friend for some of hers. Would that work just as well do you think?
