Anyone on CARBIMAZOLE (over active thyroid)? Quick question....

I think I forgot to take my dose this morning (too many tablets in the bottle to count and check!)
Am I meant to just leave it and take tomorrow's dose? Will I muck things up by possibly forgetting my tablet?
I daren't take one 'just in case!'

just take one tomorrow as usual, i dont think missing one makes too much difference.

i got a pill holder thing from sainsburys that you put all you pills in at the start of the week and then you know if you have missed one, i find that really useful.

Thank you! A pill holder is a great idea. I only take one tablet a day and they're in an old fashioned bottle so I can see that I may forget often
I'm finding this whole thyroid malarky quite taxing!

Hi I take the opposite - thyroxine and got a pill holder too as kept missing days. My doctor said there is no harm in missing a day and not to double up the next day.

Missing one won't hurt but just take it tomorrow.

Make a tick on the calendar when you take your tablet and get a separate jar for a week's supply and count out 7. You'll be able to tell whether you have taken it or not.

Hope you're ok - how's the "healthy eating" plan going (we won't call it a diet because that sounds like hard work!!).

So many sensible ideas that I hadn't thought of!
Hi Kbear, so far so good. Got Dr's appointment next week to discuss things further! Definitely haven't put any weight on anyway, so my initial fears weren't founded!
