Any idea why I woould suddenly be spottier than ever, but only down one sde of my face????

Very wierd. I get the odd spot but am quite lucky usually with my skin.
The last couple of weeks I have got really bad spots, big painful ones but all on the left side of my face - not one on the other!
Ive got them on my cheek, forehead, chin, jawline, neck and a couple of really painful ones in my ear
Is there a erason for this? is it a sign of something specific?
Not sure if its related but have been trying to work out a cause and over the same period I have had a cold that just wont shift which never normally happens, i get a cold and its awful for a day then its gone but this is just hanging on.

Any ideas??

Change of laundry liquid/powder used on pillow covers combined with sleeping on one side? Side parting making hair hang over one side of face? Too much time spent resting face in one hand? (or with head in hands as us mothers often are! )

The answers at the bottom of this talk about each lung and even certain minerals in food being related in some way to each side of the face but how true this is I do not know.

No change on washing powder and I toss and turn at night - dont lie on any one side more than the other.
Hair is tied back and yes, I'm a fan of the head-in-hands position!

Whats annoying is that i alwas scar when i have a spot, so even when these buggers are gone (please god!) I'll be scarred all down one side for months.

Maybe I'll start that hair down one side thing yo mentioned!

Have you gone on the ocp. Had a mirena coil fitted?

Slightly strange question...but have you had any hair treatment/colouring etc. I remember having a perm years ago and getting two 'lines' of spots down my face - one on each side. Took me weeks to twig it was where the perm acid had dribbled!!!

Ah - mobile phone? I had one recurring spot due to forgetting not to press the hinge of my flip phone against my cheekbone!

Not had coil or anything like that, funnily enough have coloured hair(and recoloured after it looked awful) in the las couple of weeks, did wonder if the chemicals could be the culprit but would it jus be one side? the colour didnt drip on my face at all.
I dont really favor one side over the other when it comes to phones either.
I guess it could be hormonal - was (11wks)pregnant until 3 weeks ago, but again - one side??
Also i have tended not to drink alcohol for several years as one glass sends me to sleep, but i decided 2 weeks ago to build up a tolerence for the christmas season and have been drinking wine every night.
So things have occured in this time frame but if its any of these things im still stumped by it all being one-sided
