Have any of you bought a "shiatsu" massage cushion/chair, do they work are they any good?

My Mum has had a bad back for ages, my Dad tells me she was looking at a Tens machine lately to help her. I thought one of the Shiatsu Massage cushions might be nice for her for Christmas as I heard they do a quite strong massage and she has recently bought an upright chair for herself, it looks like this will fit on it? Can anyone recommend a good one?

I have got the homedics one.

It is vicious! (but I like it)
Seriously you can have it on "spot" so it stays in the same place, I got it when I was pg and had really bad pain in my upper back - used this and the next day had bruises on either side of my spine.

If you use it properly though it is good - doesn't do your shoulders though. Also the vibrating seat is a bit weird.

Am that there is a heated one though as think that would be luvverly.

PS mine was a present but am sure was nowhere near £160 which I think is the RRP. WAs from my mum so bound to be off amazon.

well I just googled it you can get them for less then 50 quid and have seen this which seems too good to be true....(also only has about 30 min left to go so be quick if you do want it!)

PS Please don't blame me if that item is a big con but it does look lovely
