Possible UTI - self treat or not?

I have been needing a wee really often since yesterday but not much there when I go, today have started having pain in my abdomen, kind of feels like ovulation pain but I know it's not that, on my left side. Also still weeing all the time.

Does it sound like a UTI? do the over-the-counter treatments work or do you think I need to see the doc tomorrow?

It sounds like a UTI. You can try to flush it out by drinking more, cranberry is supposto help. I would take a sample to the GP though. It's important to treat this correctly as it could get nasty.

I hope you are feeling better soon.

If proper UTI need antibiotics possibly just single large dose though. Would be best to know the urine bug so would send a sample to GP. In the interim keep up fluid intake and try some cranbery juice.

thank you, I don't feel quite right but I did find out my dad died yesterday so not surprising that I feel a bit grotty. Will pick up some Cranberry juice in the morning and see how things go.

I'm so sorry. Take some time for you. My dad died in May, it can be really tough.

Get some antibiotics.
