Dont ask me why but i for some reason last night looked closely at my vagina, something i havent done really since i had my kids. youngest is 16 months, eldest 7 and middle 3.

I had felt something i wasnt sure about, felt like al ump or something or where my stitches hadnt healed.

when i looked at it i was horrified

im now imaginging that i have really advanced cancer or something.

im sure it looks very different to how it should, like a cauliflower or something and very lumpy.

help!

Could be just scar tissue but get thee to a doctor pronto.

solo · 10/11/2008 14:05

sorry...just trying to lighten the mood.

get thee to a GP woman!

completelyanonymousplease · 10/11/2008 14:09

can piles come out of there?

OP posts:
overbuurvrouw · 10/11/2008 14:12

No, I don't think piles can come out of your vagina. It could be some sort of prolapse, but it doesn't sound like it from what you say.

You really really DO need to go to the doctors as soon as you can.

completelyanonymousplease · 10/11/2008 14:20

im very scared as ive never had a smear

You are going to have to bite the bullet.

You can request a female GP, but you need to check it.

It could be a whole number of not scary things, but you HAVE to find out.

overbuurvrouw · 10/11/2008 14:24

Poor thing I totally understand you being scared, it must be terrifying for you.

The thing is, you said you haven't had a look for a long long time so it could all be perfectly normal. The thing is, you are going to drive yourself totally crazy worrying about this. You really must get a doctors appointment so you know what's going on, for better or worse.

TBH you don't really have a choice.

belgo · 10/11/2008 14:24

could be varicose veins, yes you can get them coming out of your vagina, usually during pregnancy. A doctor can easily diagnose this.

spottyzebrahasthelurgy · 10/11/2008 14:28

could it be a wart?

overbuurvrouw · 10/11/2008 14:42

Are you still there completelyanonymousplease?

solo · 10/11/2008 14:55

It sounds like mine. Weak pelvic floor muscles mean that I have an anterior prolapse which shows at the entrance to the vagina.

completelyanonymousplease · 10/11/2008 16:35

solo do you mind expaning on what it looks like?

mine seems to be all lumpy, like lots of small lumps as well as general big one

spottyzebrahasthelurgy · 10/11/2008 16:54

piratecat · 10/11/2008 16:59

it's been ages since you looked, so not surprised you are surprised. took me long time to get used to the new me.

i went to gp to my mind at rest.

mine was my hymen, from the tearing. it was like i had new bits on my bits. very hard to work out what used to be where iyswim.

it can be very taumatic. yet just have a think, how you have been ok, before seeing this. but still best to get checked.

tengreenbottles · 10/11/2008 20:50

go to the GP . However ,did you have internal stiches with any of your children? also were you sitting on the floor to look ,as this could have pushed scar tissue forward . Shame on you for not having a smear though ,organise one while you are seeing the GP ,it will only take 2 minutes and they use a nice soft little brush now Hope you are ok

solo · 10/11/2008 21:51

Sounds just the same completelyanon. If you look again and cough, it seems to get bigger/come out a bit more. Talk to the GP/family planning, they may be able to refer you to a specialist nurse.
