dh came down with what I think is flu cept he had his flu jab on thursday - he did it in a spectacular manner by nearly fainting. Yesterday he seemed a bit better but today hes back in bed with horrid flu symptoms.

I suddenly feel shivery and throat is feeling sore. I can not get it. We have no food in, I don't drive so I will have to go into town later. I can not cope with life at moment anyway - am struggling with arthritis flaring and a huge Christmas fair project in 3 weeks. dd is looking pale and has lost her appetite today

So for those who have suffered - how long does it last please?

I refuse to have a flu jab after a nasty incident a few years ago.

I've had a sore throat, headache, earache and neck pain for about 2 days, headache seems to be sinus related. I do feel a bit better, but have other ehalth problems which can be triggered off with things like this, so it's maybe lasted a bit longer. Could you not do an online shop?

We've all just had this. Worst of it about a couple of days then nearly 2 weeks to fully recover. Cold n flu caps took the edge off.

saltire - I'll do an online for the main weeks shop - good idea (dunno why I didn't think of it) and just pick up the basics for today/tomorrow - thanks for your common sense!! I hope you feel better soon.

Pheebe - thanks. Reminds me I need to pick up some nurofen, dh has scoffed the lot!

2 weeks for us - the final whammy, after the horrible throat thing, was a horrible persistent cough which kept us all awake at night.

Vile - good luck x

thanks. I'm still standing ache from head to toe but throat not worse so I'm hoping that I'm fighting it off.
if dh coughs for 2 weeks at night then he will have one very bad tempered wife.
